Commander League - Fall 2023 League

Starting September 12th, 2023 the Dork Den is hosting a Commander League that will meet each Tuesday evening for 6 weeks and conclude on October 17th, 2023. For this League you will be placed in pods of 3-5, receive packs, and awarded points. After the last night of the league, points will be calculated and awards will be handed out on October 24th, 2023. The league will cost $7 for each week you participate, with the choice to prepay for $35 on or before the first night. If you prepay for the league, you will receive an additional 10% on top of your denizen discount towards the purchase of magic singles to help build/improve your deck, as well as a Foil Lotus Petal promo! *Lotus Petal Promo will not be handed out until the September 26th session*

Details:

  • League begins on 9/12/2023 and meets every Tuesday for 6 weeks through 10/17/23
  • Matches will start at 6:30 pm
  • 1 official league match will be held each week (you welcomed to stay and continue to play)
  • Themes will be assigned to each week of the league
  • Players will be given packs each week for participation and winning their pod
  • Promo packs will be given randomly to some players who are on theme for the week
  • Points will be given out based on participation, Winning the pod, and Completing theme achievements
  • Awards will be handed out on 10/24/2023

Rules:

  • Standard Commander rules and Ban list applies
  • If you win your pod, you must use a different commander the following week
  • Pods will be assigned by staff

Points:

  • Players will receive 1 point for participating in the commander league each week
  • Players who win their pod will be given 1 additional points
  • Player will be given 1 point per achievement they complete during play each week
Week1 (September 12th, 2023)
Theme: Harvest Adventures
  • Trigger the Celebrate ability 3 times
  • Play 5 permanents using their Adventure costs
  • Play 5 permanents with the Landfall keyword
Week 2 (September 19th, 2023)
Theme: Autumn’s Ascendance
  • Control 2 creatures whose power and toughness are equal to the number of lands you control
  • Control 5 permanents with “Enter the Battlefield” triggers
  • Gain 20 life over the course of the game
Week 3 (September 26th, 2023)
Theme: Cryptic Conjurations
  • Have 3 different spooky creature tokens in play (Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves, etc)
  • Curse 3 different targets
  • Create 5 blood tokens
Week 4 (October 3rd, 2023)
Theme: Hunter Dominion
  • Play with a Companion
  • Play 3 permanents with artwork depicting hunted animals (Deer, boar, pheasant, etc)
  • Kill/Destroy 5 creatures with one action
Week 5 (October 10th, 2023)
Theme: Shadowed Harvest
  • Attack with 2 creatures that have Fear/Menace/Deathtouch
  • Play 3 Scarecrow permanents
  • Pay the Bargain cost of 3 permanents
Week 6 (October 17th, 2023)
Theme: Hallowed Enactments
  • Play 2 permanents with artwork that incorporate Halloween themes (pumpkins, black cats, bats, etc)
  • Assign Roles to 3 different permanents
  • Play 5 permanents with Trick or treat (Modal) abilities
Award Week (October 24th, 2023)

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at thedorkden@gmail.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Returns are also accepted in store.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
